Description: Jai dii house is a newly opened home-style guesthouse in the heart of Chiang Mai's old city. We are known locally for being the big pink house with the big green garden and bamboo huts (newly built) just past Somphet market. We are close to Moonmuang road - a main road of Chiang Mai city. We are just 1 minute's walk from Somphet Market (food), and 5 minutes from the Sunday Market (handicrafts and more food). It's really easy to get public transport from Jai dii house, and the closest restaurants and bars are only a couple of minutes walking distance. Jai dii means 'good heart' or 'kind heart'. We aim to make our guests' stay here feel as relaxing and homey as possible. We offer free tea, coffee, water and internet facilities (wi-fi and laptop). We also have a fridge and some food preparation facilities for guests' use. We have communal areas for relaxing and socialising - including an indoor area with comfy sofas, a large communal balcony, and a lovely big green garden at the front with grass, bamboo and fruit trees. We are currently working on the back garden - it should be very lovely very soon :) One of our important philosophies is sustainability. We recycle everything possible, and have a collection point for exchanging old/unwanted clothing etc. We love our garden, especially as it is so hard to find green spaces in the city! We try to grow as much of our own fruit, vegetables and herbs as possible. Our guests comment that it's great to stay in a place that is so close to facilities, yet quiet at night (we are on a small soi away from the main road, and there are no bars on the soi). The guests we have here, along with our lovely, friendly staff make the place what it is - a relaxing, sociable place where you can feel at home and know that you will get a good night's sleep.
